Anne Hathaway is obviously still on the promotional circuit for her new movie with Jake Gyllenhaal, Love And Other Drugs. So of course, because the movie has so much to do with sex, she has to discuss that at every given opportunity.
In
a recent interview, she said that she and Jake developed an intimacy
for them to both be able to make their raunchy sex scenes more
authentic.
She said, “We had to go to a lot of
emotionally and physically vulnerable places and we spent a lot of time
rehearsing. We watched a lot of love scenes that have been done
throughout film history and talked about which ones we liked and which
ones we didn’t.”
She went on to reveal that she
thought it was helpful for their roles, to swap sex stories. She added,
“We talked about our own experiences with love and intimacy, about what
turned us on and what didn’t. So it was completely open from the
get-go. Jake described it as kind of intellectual orgy and I think that
sums it up best.”
Have you seen the movie? If so, what did you think of it? Were their scenes together believable?
